Vancouver, BC – February 2004 - sPearWay Ltd., the premier provider of e-catalog publishing and content management to small and mid size businesses, today announced the launch of sPearCat Software Suite v1.2, the newest version of their innovative e-catalog software suite developed to create and maintain full featured, highly customizable, scalable and compelling Web catalogs.
Included in the features new to version 1.2 is the addition of the new, innovative and fully customizable Gift Registry feature. Based on the wedding registry concept, the gift registry allows a merchant, or a customer given the appropriate authorization to create his or her own special event list. For example, the list may be a wedding gift list, a birthday gift list, a retirement party gift list or any other desired list.
The gift recipient’s guests can log on to the merchant’s Web site and then search for the required list by the recipient’s name or by date. After entering the required password, the guest is free to view the list, noting what items and what quantities are desired. Using the integrated shopping cart system provided, secure orders can be placed and processed.
